Shawn Gillies is a licensed marriage and family therapist in private practice in the State of Washington. He is also the Owner/Director of LifeSTAR Washington. Shawn has degrees from BYU and the University of Kentucky. After receiving his Master's Degree in 1998, Shawn began working full-time in an agency setting where he obtained over a decade of experience providing administrative, clinical, adoption and birth parent services to those in need. Shawn is a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist-Supervisor. He is also a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.
Shawn moved to Washington in 2008 to start a private therapy practice, as well as to open the doors of LifeSTAR Washington. He meets with many people therapeutically, but has specialized in the treatment of sexual addiction issues throughout his career, and is passionate about helping those who struggle with these issues. Shawn is regularly invited to speak in various settings on sexual health/addiction issues and looks forward to these experiences. He especially enjoys speaking to and educating parents on how to teach their children healthy sexuality. Shawn focuses his work on helping couples and families find hope and healing through the recovery process.

Dr. Aaron Glade, Owner/Clinical Director of LifeSTAR Washington, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT). He specializes in working with individuals and couples dealing with problematic and compulsive sexual behavior (such as compulsive pornography use and other forms of sexual acting out). In addition, Dr. Glade specializes in working with trauma survivors and is trained EMDR provider. Over the years, Dr. Glade has experienced a variety of mental health settings from youth psychiatric treatment centers; community mental health clinics; adolescent runaway shelters; to social service agencies and finally private mental health practice.
Dr. Glade earned a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from The Ohio State University where he also taught undergraduate courses in counseling, marital relationships, family studies, and child development. His additional educational background also includes a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Syracuse University and a Bachelors of Science in Family Science from Brigham Young University.
Dr. Glade grew up in the Seattle area and returned home several years back to work as a therapist after many years in academia. He is married and has four children. In his life outside the therapy chair he enjoys coaching little league baseball and softball and catching as many of his children's games and activities as life allows.
